I am an illustrator, designer and comic artist with over ten years experience in the commercial art field. I have an eye for design to keep products engaging, exciting and on-brand. I have an illustrator’s vision to breath life into any idea, concept or story. My passion for the narrative is prevalent from comic strip to children’s book to user tutorial.
As an illustrator I provide contract services for a vast range of web and print projects. Professional work includes illustration for book, comic, poster, advertising and editorial. I also provide concept art, consultation and production assets for game design, animation and film/tv entertainment. I design art products under my own label and with the collective OhNo!Doom.
As visual designer I have spent the last 4 years in the mobile and responsive web industry. Working with clients ranging from start-up to enterprise, I have collaborated with teams of product managers, interaction designers and developers in an agile environment to deliver engaging and intuitive products. Along with UI and interaction I provide design consultation and develop brand identity.
I am a comic artist. I produce my own series, Sour Milk. I am the artist for Mystery Afoot published by LowCarbComedy. One of my latest endeavors is creating comic products to extend the brand of Revolution Brewing and their brew, Galaxy Hero. RevBrew projects are a collaborative effort with our team Salsa Sharks, composed of myself, Melissa Sue Stanley and Dave Schneider.
As an artist I exhibit my work round the planet. I have also organized and curated art events for much of my stay in Chicago (Get Knifed, A.Okay Official, OhNo!Doom). I am a current member of the amorphous art collective OhNo!Doom.
My secret art base is located in Chicago which I share with the lovely Melissa and Rocko the dog. We (excluding Rocko) contribute to the community aspect of Chicago art by organizing regular events in our social groups Chicago Drink and Draw Social Club and the art marathon DrawUntilYouPuke.
