ABOUT ME
I am an illustrator, designer and comic artist with over fifteen years experience in the commercial art field. I have an eye for design to keep products engaging, exciting and on-brand. I have an illustrator’s vision to breath life into any idea, concept or story. My passion for the narrative is prevalent from comic to children’s book to user tutorial.
COMICS!
I am a comic artist. I have been published by Lion Forge (Rolled & Told), Scout (By the Horns) and Really Easy Press (Scally-Ho!). My series “HERO BEARDS” (sole creator) and “Scally-Ho!” (co-created w/ writer Alex Willan) are both accessible to Middle Grade readers, an audience I am currently pivoting towards.
I also create comic work as brand activation for marketing, advertising and presentation/pitch purposes. Teaming up with my lovely partner Melissa Sue Stanley and our friend Dave Schneider, we helped establish Revolution Brewing’s comic identity in 2016 with their first comic book. Followed by a comic series, beer labels and other marketing material, our contribution to the brand continues to grow. Melissa and I are available as a unit or individually as consultants for these identity services.

DESIGN!
I am an interactive product designer with 11 years experience in the mobile, web and IoT industries. I have been an independent contractor and design consultant for most of 6 years, providing UI and interaction services as well as brand identity strategy. Working with clients ranging from start-up to enterprise, I have collaborated with teams of product managers, interaction designers and developers in an agile environment to deliver engaging and intuitive products. Some past industries include financial, supply chain logistics, sports & entertainment, healthcare & advocacy, inventory & account systems, telecommunications dashboard, gaming, parking tools, dating, retail, restaurants, education, wearables and bitcoin ATMs.
ILLUSTRATION!
As an illustrator I provide contract services for a vast range of web and print projects. Professional work includes illustration for book, comic, poster, advertising and editorial. I also provide concept art, consultation and production assets for game design, animation and film/tv entertainment.
ART!
As an artist I exhibit my work round the planet, most recently Gallery1988. I also organized and curated art events for much of my stay in Chicago (Get Knifed, A.Okay Official, OhNo!Doom).
what else?
I live in my not-so-secret headquarters in Chicago with my wonderful wife Melissa Sue Stanley and our stinky dog Rocko. We love tabletop games with dinner, sketching at breweries and camping. Rocko loves biscuits and couches.
